Step-by-Step Instructions:
There are four different methods to build a survey:
- Start from scratch
- Use a pre-designed template
- Duplicate an existing survey
- Import a survey file
Create a Survey from Scratch
1) Click Create New Survey.
2) Enter a name for your survey in the Survey Name field.
3) Choose the appropriate category from the Category Name dropdown menu.
4) Click Create Survey to proceed to the builder, where you can start adding questions.
You can also create a new survey directly from the My Surveys page.
Create a Survey Using Templates
Zoho Survey provides over 250+ ready-to-use templates across 10 categories, making it easy to build a survey without starting from scratch.
Follow these steps to create a survey using a template:
1) Click Create Survey and choose Select from Template.
2) Browse the template options listed in the left panel and pick the one that suits your needs.
3) After selecting a template, click Select to proceed.
4) Enter a name for your survey and click Create. You also have the option to add tags during this step.
Copy an Existing Survey
You can quickly create a new survey by duplicating an existing one. Follow these steps:
1) Click Create Survey and select Copy Existing Survey.
2) Choose the survey you want to duplicate.
3) Enter a name for the new survey and click Create. You can also add tags during this step.
Import a Survey
Use Case:
Imagine you have a course feedback survey with all the questions saved in a document. Instead of manually entering them, you can use the Import Survey feature to quickly convert your file into a survey.
You can import surveys from external sources in formats like .doc, .docx, and .txt or paste questions directly into the Quick Editor.
How to Import a Survey:
1) Click Create Survey and select Import Survey.
2) Choose to import a survey from a file in .doc, .docx, or .txt format, or copy and paste questions into the Quick Editor.
3) If using the Import Document feature, upload your survey questions from your desktop or cloud storage. Click How to Format to ensure the document is structured correctly before importing.
