Customizing your Home tab in Zoho CRM using Custom Views is essential for staying on top of your sales and CRM activities. By selecting and organizing key data from different modules like Tasks, Potentials, and Dashboards, you can gain a comprehensive overview of your progress at a glance. This not only helps you track your sales performance but also allows you to prioritize and manage your daily tasks more effectively. This guide will walk you through the steps to use Custom Views, empowering you to organize your workday and keep your team aligned with your business goals.
Customizing your Zoho CRM Home tab with Custom Views:
The Home tab in Zoho CRM is more than just a tracker for your activities; it’s a powerful tool for organizing your workday and keeping your team aligned. With three types of “Views” available, you can customize the Home page to display the most relevant information for your users. These personalized layouts can be shared across multiple roles or profiles, ensuring consistency and clarity. Users can switch between views as needed.
Classic View: This view provides a quick overview of your daily agenda with components like Tasks, Today’s Events, and Pipeline by Stage, specific to each user. It’s not customizable but ideal for staying on top of key activities.
User’s Home Page: Customize your Home tab to suit your needs. Add, resize, and move components to create a layout that helps you work more efficiently.
Customized Home Page: Create a shared view for different roles or profiles. Add the components you want your team to see when they log in, ensuring everyone has the same information at their fingertips.
Switching Views: Easily switch between different views using the drop-down menu in the top right corner of the Home tab. The last accessed view will be set as your default.
*Only users with the “Module Customization” permission can create and modify the Home page layout.
To Create a Customized Home Page:
1) Navigate to Setup > Customization > Customize Home Page.
Alternatively, go to the Home Tab, click the drop-down in the top right corner, and select Customize Home Page.
2) Click New Home Page to start creating your customized layout.
3) Click Dashboard.
4) Select a Dashboard from the drop-down list and choose the components you want to add to the Home page.
5) Select Custom Views.
6) Select a Module from the drop-down list and choose the components to add to the custom view.
7) Resize or move the components to organize the page after adding all the required elements.
8) Click Save & Share.
9) In the Edit Properties window, complete the following:
– Enter a name for the customized Home page.
– Select the roles and profiles to share this page with.
– Add a description (optional).
– Click Save
*Note:
Ensure that the customized Home page is activated so that it appears in the Home tab of the associated users. To activate or deactivate, toggle the status icon of the respective customized Home page.
To delete, further customize, or edit the properties of a customized Home page, hover over the page in the list and click the three dots. Select the desired action from the pop-up menu.
